This cacao comes from the Comalcalco region, composed of humid marshlands at sea level, one of the greatest cacao production sites in the State of Tabasco. Three major rivers converge nearby, making this one of the regions with the highest content of fresh water nationwide. The community of Jose Maria has been working in favor of Mexican cacao for over 100 years. These plantations are host to a significant diversity of flora and fauna. Within this ecosystem, all animals are protected and enjoy a lush and varied jungle.
